Professional Development Individual Consultations

Looking for guidance and resources to aid in your professional development? Make an appointment to meet with the Office of Graduate Professional Development! Our office can help you explore resources to build research and writing skills, find funding, start networking, revise your Individual Development Plan (IDP), and more. Online Career Connections Center (C3) Graduate Student Career Planning Appointments 

 

The Career Connections Center (C3) provides Career Planning Appointments available for graduate students. A trained specialist from the C3 is available at the Graduate School to meet with students virtually on Zoom. Graduate students are welcome to have curricula vitae or industry résumés reviewed, discuss academic and non-academic job searches, hone networking skills, or receive personalized help with other career-related questions.

Funding, Internships, and Other Opportunities

Fall 2021 OGPD Writing Program Application Due Friday

The Office of Graduate Professional Development (OGPD) Writing Program is a social support program that strives to create a peer support structure to (1) help students cope with feelings of isolation in the writing stage of their studies and (2) aid students in supporting each other in setting and reaching writing goals. Participants will meet weekly for 90 minutes in discussion groups of 4-5 students on Zoom. In these discussion groups, participants will:

  • Discuss the weekly topic, the previous week’s writing goals, and set new writing goals for the coming week.
  • Write for an hour.

Application Deadline: Friday, August 13 at 11:59 p.m.

Note: Personal feedback on or editing of writing samples and/or instruction on academic writing skills will not be provided to participants.

OneStop Enrollment Services Center

The OneStop Enrollment Services Center opened on August 2, 2021. It provides convenient and centralized service for financial aid, bursar, and the registrar, offering UF students a seamless experience. Students can find help by email, phone, Zoom or in-person via OneStop.

Research Abroad for Doctoral Students (RADS)

Research Abroad for Doctoral Students (RADS) provides funding for travel and travel related expenses for doctoral students to travel abroad to collect data or to access resources not available on campus at partner institutions. Learn more at one of the two information sessions on Friday, September 10 at 10 a.m. and Friday, September 24 at 2 p.m.
