The deadline to apply to the UF Graduate School’s Office of Graduate Professional Development Fall 2021 Writing Program is this Friday, August 13, 2021!

The Office of Graduate Professional Development (OGPD) Writing Program is a social support program that strives to create a peer support structure to (1) help students cope with feelings of isolation in the writing stage of their studies and (2) aid students in supporting each other in setting and reaching writing goals.

Dates: Week of August 30, 2021 - Week of November 15, 2021

Participants will meet weekly for 90 minutes in discussion groups of 4-5 students on Zoom. In these discussion groups, participants will:

• Discuss the weekly topic, the previous week’s writing goals, and set new writing goals for the coming week.
• Write for 60 minutes.

NOTE: Personal feedback on or editing of writing samples and/or instruction on academic writing skills will not be provided to participants.

The application is now open to all graduate students with academic writing projects this semester. The application will close Friday, August 13 at 11:59 p.m.
