Those are great, thank you for sharing Chelsea! And Beth, for prompting the conversation!

We have wondered about this too. At our Communication Center, we have spent the year working on an asynchronous eLearning module for visual aid design. The idea being that students could complete at own pace, faculty could offer as supplement to their class. Thinking about offering it as some sort of certificate/badge that anyone could earn.

The modules would be about 15 hours in total covering a range of material, some curated from already existing materials and others created by us. We would have participants complete assignments, tasks, and quizzes as part of the assessment process and even have them visit our center for collaboration and feedback.

Would love to hear what others are doing too, thank you in advance!

Paul

Good morning,

We've been developing what we call "mini workshops" and uploading them to our new YouTube Channel<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.youtube.com_channel_UCzMhEHn2tca-2Dp3-5FaDsyo8qA&d=DwMFAg&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=tkAACBgX69zH9b8QGasKbhgWu8w0Arh-QhL0xf_Y95k&m=7yd6t24EB__ulTKjKIYiHP0epCUVDSFgDGFdx9LpxkM&s=aDYT2cfeMELflGNBqtmrtRTX5Ps9ACeSXjxYj3eJP5k&e=>. We've also been building a Learning Center Blackboard organization students can enroll in. Our Bb org contains workshop modules, too, so students can attend our workshops asynchronously, which connects them with our YouTube videos and other resources/handouts. We've been focusing on success skills, such as time management, study strategies, and reading academic texts.

I'm happy to chat more or do a video virtual tour of our Blackboard space if that would be helpful!

Chelsea

Hello listers,

Are you creating micro-learning opportunities that can be accessed by students asynchronously to complement your learning center services? If so, what skills/processes are you addressing, and what eLearning product are you using?

Thanks!
