This is a great idea! Would you (or anyone else) mind sharing the video you’ve put together? This is something we’ve talked about, and it would be nice to see some examples to help get the ball rolling.

Hello Hillary,
I do not know of any studies, but at our Center we tried this semester (still 100% online) to choose a challenging 1st year course College Algebra and we requested an opportunity to visit (via Zoom) all sections of this course. We stopped by with a 2.3 min long video showing how easy it was to get help and answered any questions students had. The semester isn't over yet so no hard number, but we have seen a marked increase in students from this course. Key was that we waited to visit the class until the third week. This allowed the flurry at the beginning to die down, the first few assignments to be recorded, and an assessment to be visible on the horizon. Just thought I would offer another suggestion for you. Good Luck,

Subject: Research on Faculty use of Learning/Tutoring Centers
Hello!
Does anyone know of any research on the most effective ways for faculty to use their campus tutoring centers (syllabus statement only vs. making attending a tutoring session part of an assignment vs. making attending a tutoring session it's own assignment vs. making attending a tutoring session extra credit, etc.)?
I would like to write something up for faculty on the options they have for including tutoring as part of their course and was hoping there's some research on best practices.
Thanks!
