Hello Alison.  I would certainly be pleased to receive any
references to do with the use of IT in teaching. I share the
concerns articulated by David, although I would state them
in more positive terms. I am concerned to see IT used as a
resource in education rather than be focal. I would like to
see greater emphasis given to the development of educational
practice that enhances student learning whilst utilising
computers. I am concerned that IT will drive students and
educators further into individualised practices rather than
further towards collective or collaborative processes which
I think are very important, both in terms of good education
and for our continued social development, globally and
