My colleagues at Georgia State University, Brenda Smith(known to many
of you for her reading texts) and Nannette Commander, have been
teaching adjunct courses. Students whose reading requirements would
prevent them from taking history have taken a reading course attached to
a history course. Results have been quite good although I cannot give
you specifics. I'm sure they would be willing to share info. I do know
they sat through the history course for an entire quarter before planning
the adjunct course.
