        A colleague of mine is writing a chapter for publication in which he
makes reference to the fairly widespread perception that developmental ed
or learning skills/learning support people are not quite "regular academics",
ie. they/we are stigamatized and treated like pseudo faculty.
Does anyone know of any source which he can cite in referring to this?
Everyone I talk to seems to recognize the phenomenon, but no one seems to know
of any research in this area. Help?
