The Call for Articles for the Fall, 1997 edition follows:

CALL FOR ARTICLES, ACPA "CAREERWATCH"
FALL 1997

"CareerWatch," the newsletter of the ACPA Commission for Career
Development (Commission VI) is now accepting submissions for the
Fall 1997 issue.

ISSUE THEME:  COLLABORATION ACROSS CAMPUS,
COLLABORATION WITH TWO YEAR COLLEGES
AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS

***What are current examples of career services issues/trends
      and developments  at two year colleges and non-traditional
      institutions?  Sample topics are below:

              *Enrollment management
              *Links with academic advising and other offices
              *Career research theories and the two year school
              *The job market/economy and the two year student
              *Employer relations/types of employers
              *How career education is utilized on campuses
              *Relationships between student learning and careers
              *Liaisons/relationships with faculty
              *Special populations at the two year school
              *New and alternative methods of delivering services
              *Technology issues at the two year school
              *Other relevant topics

***Assessment/evaluation of two year career centers***

***What are examples of collaborative links between two year
      schools and four year schools?***

***Examples of collaborative links between Commission VI
     and Commission XI, Student Development in the
     Two Year College.  WE WELCOME SUBMISSIONS FROM
     COMMISSION XI MEMBERS ON ANY RELEVANT TOPIC!
     PLEASE SPREAD THE  WORD!!***

Theme articles should be no longer than two pages, double-spaced.

IN ADDITION!!!  We welcome short (half-page) analyses of your
personal experiences with specific types of technological software
and other products.  We want to create a "Siskel and Ebert" section
of the latest kinds of software/career web resources.  What resources
do you recommend???

We are also looking for book/article reviewers.  If there are any
resources that you recommend other folks use/read, please submit a
review (no longer than one page, double-spaced).

The deadline for submissions for the Fall 97 issue is
October 1, 1997.  Submissions should be e-mailed
(either as a regular e-mail message, a WordPerfect or
Microsoft Word or ASCII file) to:
