The National Tutoring Association 6th Annual Conference, "Diversity in
Tutoring,"  will be April 26-28 in Boca  Raton, FL.   There will be three
pre-conference workshops "Tutoring On the Internet,"  "Tutoring Learning
Disabled Students," and "Humor in Learning."  The keynote speaker will be
Dr. Carlos Diaz, author of "Multicultural Education for the 21st Century."
There will be 45 different workshops to choose among on topics such as
training, tutoring diverse populations, program models, tutor
selection, professional development, ethics, certification, computerized
recod keeping, tutoring math,
current issues, etc.  The winners of two research grants will also
present.  There will be a post-conference workshop on "Legal
Issues in Tutoring."  Registration including regular membership is $165.
Most of the sessions will be held at Florida Atlantic University and the
Doubletree Hotel.  Registration materials can be obtained from Sandi Ayaz,

The place is beautiful, the program will be great, and the participants
